There are many reasons that we are able to offer lower prices.  But one thing that you should always remember at Forest&Ray we cut prices, not quality!

Firstly, salaries for all professions are lower in Hungary than in Western Europe.  Dentists and their staff earn less money in Hungary than in the UK.  Therefore our staffing costs are less here in Hungary.  This also explains why many professional Hungarians choose to work abroad at some stage of their career.

Studying and training to become a dentist at one of Hungary’s internationally renowned universities costs less than a similar programme of studies in the UK or North America.  That's why many international students and graduates come to Hungary to study and undertake research in dentistry.  Entrance to medical faculties in Hungary is highly competitive due to the limited places this ensures that only the crme de la crme of undergraduates can pursue their studies. Foreign students who wish to come to Hungary to study are selected on academic merit, not just on their ability to pay, like in some other countries.

Property prices in Budapest are considerably less than in London, even in the city centre. Forest&Ray can offer the same services at our spacious clinic in Hungary with much lower overheads.  Water and other utilities are cheaper than in the UK too.

Hungary's currency is the forint, not the euro, so UK customers can make big savings with the advantageous exchange rate.  You can still settle your bill in sterling at our clinic in Budapest, or by transfer into our UK bank account which means that there are no nasty shocks at the end of the treatment.  You know exactly how much you have paid as the bill is in pounds and pence.

There is not much difference in the costs of the medical supplies used, so this is one area where we have the same costs as other countries. All Forest&Ray's medical suppliers are respected international companies, such as BioHorizon and Zoom who also supply dentists in the UK.  As we said, we don't cut corners, we cut prices.  The standard of care and professionalism is the same as the UK, but we can pass on the savings that we make on staffing costs and other overheads.

Don't forget that accommodation, sightseeing, eating out, concerts and theatre are generally less costly in Budapest than in London on a like for like basis.  When you come to have your dentistry done in Hungary, your pound really does go further.
